What Next - The Career Expo 2026

Bridging the gap between academia and industry, What Next – The Career Expo 2026 once again transformed the Faculty of Management and Finance into a hub of opportunity, networking and career exploration.

Organized by the Professional Development Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Management and Finance in collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit, the initiative brought together over 700 undergraduates and more than 35 leading organizations representing diverse sectors, including FMCG, banking and finance, FinTech, hospitality and diversified corporate groups. The event provided students with direct access to industry professionals, enabling them to explore career opportunities, gain valuable industry insights and establish meaningful professional connections.

Contributing to the success of the Career Fair was a strong lineup of renowned organizations, including John Keells Group, H Connect (Pvt) Ltd, Citizens Development Business Finance PLC, Hayleys PLC, MAS Holdings, Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC, Atlas Axillia Co. (Pvt) Ltd, Hemas Consumer Brands and many other industry leaders. Through direct interactions with recruiters and corporate representatives, participants gained a deeper understanding of industry expectations, emerging career pathways and the skills required to thrive in today’s competitive professional landscape.

More than just a career fair, What Next – The Career Expo 2026 served as a platform that empowered undergraduates to make informed career decisions and take confident steps toward their professional aspirations, strengthening its position as one of the Faculty’s most impactful flagship initiatives.
